Choose the right rebates for your home

Work with a participating contractor to upgrade insulation in your attic, cathedral ceiling, flat roof or a combination of any of these three. To qualify for the rebate, 100% of the total area of your roof assembly must be insulated.

How to qualify

To qualify for an attic insulation rebate, you must:

  • To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home.

  • Be an Enbridge Gas customer with an active account and primarily heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler OR be connected to the Ontario electricity grid and heat your home with electricity, oil, propane, or wood.

  • Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation.

    New build homes (i.e. homes that have been occupied for six months or less) and stacked townhouses do not qualify.

How to get your rebates

  1. 1. Confirm your eligibility

    Complete this short form below to confirm your eligibility and to receive a list of participating insulation contractors.

  2. 2. Choose a participating contractor2

    Choose one of the contractors from the list of participating insulation contractors. They will help you choose the best insulation type for your attic, cathedral ceiling and/or flat roof.

  3. 3. Complete upgrades

    Your participating contractor will complete your application and install your insulation.

  4. 4. Receive your rebate

    After your contractor submits all required documentation, you’ll receive your rebate.

Are you eligible for attic rebates?

Cornwall Electric customers who heat their homes with electricity, propane, oil, or wood are not eligible.

To qualify for the Home Renovation Savings program, you must own your home. Eligible housing types include single detached or semi-detached homes, row/townhomes and mobile homes on a permanent foundation. Note: stacked townhomes are not eligible. If you heat your home with a natural gas furnace or boiler, you must be an Enbridge Gas customer. If you heat your home with electricity, propane, oil, or wood you must be connected to Ontario’s electricity grid. Additional terms and conditions apply to specific rebates.

If your home is primarily heated with electricity, propane, wood or oil, you must be connected to Ontario’s electricity grid to be eligible to participate.

If your home has a heat pump, your primary heating is electricity. Cornwall Electric customers are connected to the Hydro Quebec electricity grid. Therefore, they are not eligible to participate unless their home is primarily heated with natural gas provided by Enbridge Gas.
